Meet the Speakers
Living for You: Whole Body Health
Achieving your best self doesn’t happen by accident. Join alliance members and the TMA president – leaders in fitness, nutrition, skin care, and breathing – for an interactive session packed with practical insights to help you strengthen your overall well-being. This panel presentation will include demonstrations and question-and-answer time.
Keynote Session: Creativity for Health
Creativity, often is viewed as a gift or luxury, is part of the software of every human brain. Anthony Brandt and Todd Frazier will describe how creativity contributes to human well-being and flourishing. Drawing on The Runaway Species: How Human Creativity Remakes the World, the book he co-authored with neuroscientist David Eagleman, Mr. Brandt will explore the biological and social underpinnings of creativity and describe how our brains generate new ideas. Then Mr. Frazier will share examples of medical arts integration and music therapy in practice, providing a model for further growth of arts in health.
Just Do It Scared!
Like many women in the 1960s, Kathryn Childers earned a degree in elementary education and was expected to find a husband and settle down. Instead, she snagged a secretarial job with a congressman in Washington, D.C. In 1970, Kathryn applied to and was hired as one of the first female U.S. Secret Service agents.
Armed with her personal mantra, “Do It Scared!,” Kathryn has navigated uncharted waters with a dead-eye aim and a sense of humor … forging a lifetime of adventure most would be afraid to dream of. She will coach listeners to face challenges head on and leave life’s “should a, could a, would a’s” in the dust!
How Human is AI Creativity?
For the first time in history, machines can write stories, compose music, and paint –tirelessly and at breathtaking speed. In what ways is computational creativity close to human creativity? And how does it differ? Do these similarities and differences impact what it produces? In its current form, can generative AI equal or surpass human artistry? Anthony Brandt will explore these timely, provocative questions.
Prepare for ALLMED
- Register for ALLMED until March 31. Gather a group of friends from your alliance so you’ll fill your voting block at the Annual Business Meeting (ABM). Each alliance receives 10 votes.
- Create your poster (24-by-36-inch on foamcore) to brag about one of your local successes. Posters will be on display during the Thursday evening reception. Plan to have one or two members on hand to answer questions of reception guests. And be sure to email TMAA the name of your featured project and local contact by March 15 for inclusion in the program. Get Canva tips for the poster session.
- Voting Delegates: Prepare to vote at the Annual Business Meeting. Review proposed revisions to the TMAA Bylaws and the new TMAA Policies and Procedures manual, which will be presented for adoption. Delegates also will vote on the 2026-27 slate of officers.
