Why Join TMAA

What is the Alliance?

TMA Alliance (TMAA) is the largest, most important organization representing the family of medicine in the State of Texas. TMA, TMAA and the local county medical societies and alliances form a unified force to improve the practice of medicine, and the health of Texas in their communities and across the state.

Make a difference in your community

TMAA is grassroots driven organization with more than 28 medical alliances across the state. Physicians and their spouses who live in areas with no organized medical alliance may join as members-at-large, with no local dues, and represent medicine in their communities through involvement in various civic groups, political advocacy or individual activities. While activities at the county level vary widely, many participate in state-sponsored community health projects, sponsor local projects, and offer special interest groups for members such as Partners in Practice (members who work in their spouses' offices) and support groups.

The Alliance also raises funds for scholarships, research and grants, participates in health projects that improve people's lives, and protects the future of medicine through legislative advocacy.

Enrich your life

Attend state, regional and national workshops and seminars providing leadership, personal and professional development. TMAA also travels to individual counties to provide professional training to enhance leadership skills and advocacy outreach.
